Canary Scrimshaw Brooch

More scrimshaw!! This brooch is made out of sterling silver, vintage flowers, tubing and a scrimshawed antique piano key. I love how each piano key has a different texture...so similiar to a woodgrain.

Scrimshaw

I have found a new obsession! I am starting a series that is influenced by the age old method of Scrimshaw. However, instead of using whale bones, I am etching into antique piano keys (pre-ban ivory).

Along with the scrimshaw pieces, I am incorporating vintage components. That way each piece is completely one of a kind!

So happiness to me right now is scrimshaw, some Tom Waits and a bottle of rum (gets me into a sailor/pirate kind of mentality)!

Wooden Necklace

So! This necklace is made from sterling silver, an antique watch face and a section of an antique shoe measuring tool. Hmmm. Which I guess is a glorified name for a thick ruler!

New Jewelry!

Hey Folks! The reasoning behind this blog is to showcase my new one of a kind jewelry. A lot of these pieces are made out of vintage materials that date prior to the 1940's. I will be posting these on my etsy site as well so if you are interested in purchasing them you're welcome to email me or just go to my etsy site to view the prices.
